How did we choose these centres?

We included centres that give a Tampines address on their own website and took every detail from those pages. Where a page left something out, such as hours, a phone number or a walking time, we left it out too rather than guess.

We haven’t included ratings, review counts or parent quotes, and we didn’t check licences for this guide, so search the centre on ECDA’s preschool search on LifeSG before you register. PCF Sparkletots at Blk 878 Tampines Avenue 8 (6485 3300) is another local option, but we couldn’t confirm its hours or programmes.

Where are the centres and when are they open?

The nine centres are spread from Tampines Walk to Tampines Street 21, mostly in ground-floor units. Those that publish hours open 7am to 7pm, most of them Monday to Friday. Only one centre gives a walking time to an MRT station, so check the route yourself.

How much does childcare in Tampines cost?

Few Tampines centres publish fees on their centre pages. Little Footprints’ Tampines 372 centre lists a full-day fee of S$650 for Singapore citizens and S$1,300 for permanent residents and foreigners. The page doesn’t state a year or say whether GST is included.

Programme (Little Footprints, Tampines 372)Singapore citizensPRs and foreigners
Child care, full dayS$650S$1,300
Child care, half dayS$490S$1,000

Source: Little Footprints Preschool’s Tampines 372 centre page (Blk 372 Tampines Street 34 #01-20), checked 17 Oct 2026. This is one centre’s published fee, not a range for all of Tampines. Fees at the centres in this guide are on enquiry.

Citizenship, full day or half day, and infant care or child care all change the listed fee, and government subsidies then reduce what citizens pay. We haven’t listed subsidy amounts, so ask ECDA or the centre, and ask for a written breakdown showing GST, registration fees and deposits.

What is the difference between Anchor and Partner Operators?

Both are government-supported schemes for preschool operators. In this guide, My First Skool is an ECDA Anchor Operator, and ELFA and Star Learners say they are ECDA Partner Operators. The other centres’ pages we used don’t mention either scheme, so ask them directly.

A scheme doesn’t tell you about teaching approach, so visit too. E-Bridge uses a Reggio Emilia, inquiry-based approach and Skool4Kidz an integrated thematic curriculum.

What should you check before enrolling?

Check the licence, the current fees after subsidies, the ages the centre takes, how your child will get there and the days the centre closes. Visiting during class hours gives you a feel for the classrooms, meals and daily routine.

  • Ages: E-Bridge and ELFA take children from 2 months, while Little Footprints 460 and Star Learners start at 18 months.
  • Closure days: Little Skool-House, for example, says its centres close on 6 extra days a year approved by ECDA, plus public holidays, Teachers’ Day and Children’s Day.
  • Mother tongue: My First Skool at Blk 803 lists Malay and Chinese options.
  • Meals: Foo Hai Tampines has been in the Healthy Meals in Preschool Programme since 2017.
  • Enrichment: Star Learners lists abacus, art, and speech and drama. Ask whether enrichment costs extra.

Are new childcare centres opening in Tampines?

Yes. Littlebigreddot’s list of upcoming ECDA preschools, published in October 2026, shows three new centres or extensions due in Tampines in late 2026 and two more in 2027. Opening dates can move, so confirm with each operator.

  • Late 2026: MY World Preschool at Blk 214A Tampines Road
  • Late 2026: MY World Preschool at Blk 400 Tampines Street 41
  • Late 2026: a PCF Sparkletots extension at Blk 899A Tampines Street 81
  • 2027: PCF Sparkletots at Tampines North Drive 2
  • 2027: an E-Bridge extension at Blk 859D Tampines Walk

What do parents ask about childcare in Tampines?

Parents mostly ask about starting ages, fees, opening hours, half-day places and infant care. The short answers below are based on the centre pages used in this guide, so confirm anything important with the centre itself before you register.

What age can my child start childcare in Tampines?

Infant care generally runs from 2 to 18 months and child care from 18 months to 6 years, as NTUC First Campus sets out. E-Bridge and ELFA take children from 2 months, while Little Footprints 460 and Star Learners start at 18 months.

How much do childcare centres in Tampines charge?

Few centres publish fees. Little Footprints’ Tampines 372 centre lists S$650 full day and S$490 half day for Singapore citizens, and S$1,300 and S$1,000 for PRs and foreigners. It doesn’t say whether GST is included. Subsidies reduce what citizens pay.

What are the usual opening hours?

Every centre in this guide that publishes hours lists 7am to 7pm, and most say Monday to Friday. Centres also close on public holidays and some other days, so ask for the year’s calendar.

Can I get a half-day childcare place in Tampines?

Yes, some centres offer it. Little Footprints’ Tampines 372 centre and Little Olive Tree Tampines both publish half-day fees alongside full-day fees. Ask other centres whether they have half-day places available.

Which Tampines centres in this guide offer infant care?

E-Bridge Tampines Walk, ELFA @ Tampines, Foo Hai Tampines, Little Olive Tree, My First Skool at Blk 803 and Skool4Kidz Tampines GreenLeaf all say they offer infant care. Little Footprints 460 and Star Learners start at 18 months.
